San Francisco 49ers Foundation Donates $35,000 to Warren Easton
Posted: September 18, 2008

Warren Easton Charter High School will host a press conference and pep rally on Saturday, September 27 at 11:00 am. to celebrate the 95th anniversary of its 1913 opening in Mid-City. A highlight of the event will be the appearance of NFL San Francisco Forty-Niners' team owner Dr. John York, whose Foundation will make a $35,000 donation to Warren Easton's new school-based health clinic, set to open in 2009. Dr. York will be accompanied by a team of Bay area volunteers and donors, who won a trip on the team plane by making a contribution to Easton. While visiting the school they will also paint students’ lockers on the third floor. The 49ers play the New Orleans Saints the next day in the Superdome.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Arthur Hardy at mardihardy@aol.com

EASTON FAIR TO BENEFIT SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CLINIC
Posted: April 17, 2008

The first annual Warren Easton Alumni, Family and Friends fund raiser festival, held at Easton Park on March 29, 2008, was a great success. All proceeds raised will directly benefit the school-based health clinic due to open in September. Nearly 1,000 members of the Easton community attended. Everyone gave great reviews to the food vendors and the local entertainment was a huge success as well.

Councilperson and Easton family member Jackie Clarkson participated in the opening ceremony, which also featured a tribute to slain NOPD officer Nicola Cotton, Class of 2001, given by Easton alum and former NOPD officer Dave Bernelli.
