PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Project New Orleans
Posted: June 24, 2007
Students from 86 business colleges and universities across the country took a break from summer vacation to help restore Warren Easton High School on Wednesday, June 20, 2007.
Earlier in the year, thousands of college students signed up for a chance to be selected to join PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ("PwC") partners and staff in a day of service at Warren Easton. PwC teamed up with Hands on Network, a national non-profit volunteer organization, and with Americorps, to paint offices, restore two court yards and landscape the front of the 94-year-old building.
Additionally, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP donated $100,000 to complete the renovation of the school's auditorium.
"This remarkable investment of money and time from a national firm of this stature helps validate the mission of our school," said Principal Alexina Medley.
